Options overview
All options live at AdminCP > Setup > Options > [MC] Thread Split. They are grouped into the sections below.

Triggering
| Setting | Default | What it does |

| Enable auto-split globally | On | When off, no thresholds fire anywhere regardless of forum or thread settings. Manual splits still work. |
| Auto-split threshold | None / 1000 posts / 50 pages | Mode (none, posts, or pages) and the numeric threshold. See thresholds. |
| Split mode | Grace, 5 minutes grace, 1500-post safety ceiling | Hard splits immediately at the threshold; grace waits for a quiet period. The safety ceiling forces a split when grace mode never settles. |
Watchers and notifications
| Setting | Default | What it does |

| Migrate watchers on split | On | Subscribes watchers of the previous part to the new part with their existing email and alert preferences. Muted threads are not migrated. |
| Notify active viewers on split | On | Users currently viewing the previous part receive a soft notification that a new part has started. |
Templates
| Setting | Default | What it does |

| Title template | {title} (Part {part_number}) | Pattern for new-part titles. Available tokens: {title}, {part_number}. If the previous title already matches the template, the part number is incremented in place. |
| Continuation post template | {final_post_quote}\n\nContinued from {previous_part_link}. | Body of the system-generated first post of every new part. Available tokens: {previous_part_link}, {previous_part_title}, {final_post_quote}, {final_post_author}. |

Chain moves

| Thread move behavior | Detach the moved thread from its chain | Behaviour when a moderator moves one part of a chain to a different forum. Choices: detach moved, allow chain to span forums, move whole chain. See chain moves. |
General
