The add-on registers a [pcbuild] BB code so members can embed a build inside a post.

Embedding your own build​

[pcbuild][/pcbuild]

Renders the author's saved build as a card with the component list, photos, and (if configured) PC Part Picker link and Amazon affiliate links.

Embedding another member's build​

[pcbuild=USER_ID][/pcbuild]

Replace USER_ID with the numeric user ID. The viewer must hold View other users' PC builds for the card to render; without the permission, the tag falls through to plain text.

Where it works​

The BB code works anywhere standard BB code is parsed: posts, conversations, profile posts. There is no per-forum opt-out.

What it does not do​

  • It does not link to a snapshot. The card always shows the author's current build at render time. Editing the build retroactively changes how every embedded tag renders.
  • It does not include captions. Photos render in upload order.
  • It does not preview component prices live. Affiliate links search Amazon for the part name; pricing is not pulled.
