Card view

The card view replaces the flat thread list with one card per forum. Each card shows the forum's cover image (or icon fallback), the configured node colour as an accent, and a list of the most recent threads in that forum.

The card view is enabled with Enable card view at AdminCP > Setup > Options > [MC] Forum Layouts > Layouts.

What's on each card​

  • Cover image. Uploaded per-forum at AdminCP > Forums > Nodes > (edit a forum). When no cover is set, an icon fallback is used; if SV/FontAwesomeNodeIcons is active, that icon is read from the node configuration.
  • Node colour. Set per-forum (default #888888). Used as the accent on the card.
  • Recent topics. The most recent threads in the forum, capped by the Topics per forum card option (default 4).
  • Forum metadata. Title, description, thread and message counts.

Per-forum opt-out​

Each forum has a Display in card view flag (default on). Forums with the flag unticked are omitted from the card view. The same flag exists for the fluid view (Display in fluid view).

The Card full-width flag promotes a single forum to a full-width card across the row, useful for highlighting a flagship section.

Topics per card​

The Topics per forum card option controls how many recent threads each card lists. Range is unlimited; values above ~6 cause uneven card heights when forum activity varies.
